Legal Compliance for Hemp-Derived Products

FriscoLabs complies with all USPS and federal guidelines governing the shipment of hemp-based and cannabinoid products under the 2014 Farm Bill and the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018 (“2018 Farm Bill”).

According to USPS Publication 52, hemp and hemp-derived products are mailable under the following conditions:

  1. The mailer holds a valid license or authorization from their state’s Department of Agriculture permitting the production or sale of industrial hemp.

  2. The tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of the hemp or its derivatives does not exceed 0.3% on a dry-weight basis.

FriscoLabs’ hemp-derived products meet these requirements and are shipped only within states where such products are lawful.

Documentation & Verification

Under Publication 52, Part 212, mailers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all mailing laws.
FriscoLabs maintains all documentation verifying compliance with the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills, including:

  • Proof of hemp origin and cultivation license, and

  • Certificates of Analysis (COAs) demonstrating ≤ 0.3% Δ9-THC content.

Documentation may be made available to postal authorities or law enforcement upon lawful request.

Interstate Shipping & Restrictions

The 2018 Farm Bill permits interstate commerce of hemp and hemp-based products (Sections 10113, 10114, 12619).
However, due to varying state laws, FriscoLabs reserves the right to restrict shipments to states where hemp-derived products remain prohibited or under review.

Carrier Compliance Disclaimer

Under Postal Service regulations, mailers are responsible for ensuring that all items meet mailability standards.
FriscoLabs adheres to all carrier and federal requirements; however, the USPS or UPS may request supporting documentation regarding hemp mailability.
This is consistent with Publication 52 § 413, governing restricted matter and documentation review.

Shipping Insurance & Liability

Once an order is marked “Shipped” or “Delivered” by USPS or UPS, FriscoLabs is not liable for:

  • Lost, delayed, or stolen packages

  • Damaged items due to carrier mishandling

  • Packages refused, returned, or seized in transit

For added protection, we strongly recommend purchasing Shipping Insurance at checkout.
Claims for lost or damaged items must be submitted directly to the carrier or the insurance provider.
